二○二四年八月十六日，菲律賓大學迪里曼分校大學劇場的維拉莫廳。
菲律賓小提琴家加拉諾（Kaycee Galano）與菲律賓大學交響樂團、音樂總監托雷多（Josefino Chino Toledo）合作孟德爾頌小提琴協奏曲。安可曲是新加坡小提琴家甘寧改編，無論編曲或演出都讓人amazing的《奇異恩典》（Amazing Grace）。
下半場是在菲律賓很少演出的馬勒第五號交響曲。如果查到的資料無誤，前一次演出已經是十一年前。演出後，樂團團員難掩攀越高峰之後的興奮。
On 16 August, 2024, at the Villamor Hall, University Theater of the University of the Philippines Diliman, Filipino violinist Kaycee Galano performed Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in collaboration with the University of the Philippines Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of maestro Josefino Chino Toledo. The encore piece was an astonishing rendition of "Amazing Grace", arranged by Singaporean violinist Ning Kam.
The second half of the concert featured Mahler's Symphony No. 5, a piece rarely performed in the Philippines. In my knowledge, the last documented performance of this symphony was over a decade ago. After the concert, the orchestra members could barely contain their excitement, having successfully scaled such a monumental musical peak.
